この際の「跡」とは英語で "a mark" になります。「跡を残す」「跡が残る」とは "to leave a mark" が良いです。

そうしないで、跡が残っちゃうから！ （そうすると跡が残るよ。）
穴が開いちゃうとは "it'll open a hole" と言います。このようにも表現できます：
Don't pull that, it'll open a hole in your shirt!
引っ張らないで、シャツに穴が開いちゃうから！
Don't just pull it off, you'll make a hole in your shirt.
You can't just tear it off like that, you'll rip your shirt.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
