「年のせいじゃないよ。」は
1) It's not because of your age.
because of は「〜のせい」という意味もあります。これは通常否定的な表現で使われます。
2) It has nothing to do with your age.
have nothing to do with ... で「〜と全く関係がない」という意味になり「歳とは全く関係ないよ」となります。
