バックライトと日本語で言うと、液晶画面に内蔵されているライトを指しますが、英語は、同様の意味と逆光という意味を持ちます。

話し手が暗い建物の中にいて、外が明るいなら逆光ではなく順光になるかと思います。この場合は、次のように言うと良いでしょう。

「太陽がちょうど目に差し込んできて、建物に入ってきた人が見えなかった」＝「順光のせいで建物にだれが入ってきたか見えなかった」
