I've booked a table at a restaurant around the station in case it rains.
レストランを予約する時などは「book a table」と、テーブルを取っておくという英語を使います。バーやクラブなどのVIP席を取っておく際も使うので、レストランだと強調したい場合は「at a restaurant」にします。
「なるべく駅すぐ」ということは「駅周りの、あるレストラン」と取れますので「at a restaurant around the station」で十分です。
「雨に備えて」というのを加えるのであれば「in case S＋V」や「in case of A」を利用すればすっきりします。
I picked a restaurant as close as I could to the train station, so we won't get wet in case it starts raining.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

「雨が降ってきた時のため、濡れないよう駅にできるだけ近いレストランを選んだよ」
