通学で男女を別けることを初めて聞きました。私の国（アメリカ）男子校(boys school)、女子校(girls school)、共学(co-ed)などはあります。そういう別学はsingle-sex educationです。通学だけの性別がありませんので、簡単な単語もありません。説明で使えるのはseparation of sexes/gender during the commute to and from schoolです。
例文：The school is co-ed, but they separate boys and girls on their commute to and from school.
