「熱」は普段にfeverに訳していますので、「熱を持っている」はhave a feverと言いますが。この場合にはfeverという「熱」じゃなくて、皮が暖かいことでしょね？そうしたら、hotの方がいいと思います。
例文：For 1 to 2 days, my face was red, it hurt, and it was hot, but it was fine after that!
