If I come home late
（私の）帰りが遅くなる
英語で「帰り」という、よく使われている名詞の表現がなかなかないですね。英語で、「もし私が遅く帰ったら、」みたいな表現になります。
If I come home late, it's because I won at the tournament, so please don't worry
もし帰りが遅くなったらトーナメントを勝ち上がったっていうことだから心配しないで

‘もしこの時間(○時までに)までに何も音沙汰がなかったら、トーナメントで勝ち上がっているってことだよ、だから心配しないで’
‘帰りが遅くなったら’は、文面的に‘もしこの時間までに帰らなかったら’と表現するのが自然な感じになると思います^ ^

「帰りが遅くなる」という部分を“if I come home late”で表現しています。続く“advanced in the tournament”は「トーナメントを勝ち上がる」を意味します。"don't worry"で心配しないでほしいという気持ちを伝えられます。
他にも、こんな表現ができます。
If I'm late getting home, it means we're doing well in the tournament.
Don't worry if I'm home late; it just means our volleyball team is winning.
If I'm late coming home from my volleyball tournament don't worry, that means we're advancing towards the finals.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーIf I'm late coming home from my volleyball tournament don't worry, that means we're advancing towards the finals.
「バレボールのトーナメントの帰りが遅くなったら、勝ち上がってるってことだから心配しないでね」
to advance towards the finals で「（優勝に向かって）勝ち上がる」
