例文：It's bulky and taking up space, so I want to hand it over soon. Or, if you don't need it anymore, I'll just throw it away. I want to get rid of it soon.（かさばり、場所をとっているので、早くあげるなり、要らないならもう捨てるなりして、早く片付けたい。）

「早く片付けたい」という部分です。clear out は「片付ける」や「一掃する」という意味があります。
・because it's taking up space
