receive の代わりに、getを使って、We got a fax messageでもＯＫ。
○○以内に、と期限を言う場合は within を使います。
within a week 一週間以内で
within 10 days １０日以内で
これもよく使うので覚えておいてくださいね。
We got a fax from ABC company saying they wanted us to get back to them within three days.
この場合、次のように言うのが自然で良いかと思います。
ーWe got a fax from ABC company saying they wanted us to get back to them within three days.
「ABC会社からファックスが届いて3日以内に返信して欲しいそうです」
to get back to ... で「人に返事をする」
