・We still have ten minutes until the movie starts.
映画が始まるまでまだ10分あります。

・The movie starts in ten minutes.
映画はあと10分で始まります。

ご提案いただいた文章ですと by を until に変更すると意味が通じやすくなると思います。
また、movie にも the をつけると良いでしょう：
We have ten minutes until the start of the movie.
